The Master Boot Record (MBR) is the main part of your hard drive that boots to your operating system. Windows 7 has a command line utility that is a part of the Recovery Console. This command line utility lets you repair and reinstall the MBR section of the hard drive. The "bootsec" command fixes the MBR, so you can boot the computer after the MBR corrupts.
