How to Hang Foam Board
Foam board is popular for many types of arts and crafts, some of which look neat hanging on a wall. Because the material is thick, it can't just be thumb tacked to the wall. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Double-sided tape
- Hammer
- Nails
- Foam board hanger
- Pencil
- Glue
- Thick string
- Scissors
- Measuring tape

Measure and determine where you would like to place the foam board on the wall. Mark the area.

Attach double-sided tape to the corners of your foam board. If the board is large, place tape in other areas in addition to the corners.

Place the foam board on the wall where you marked. Push against the board to stick it to the wall.
Special Mounting Hardware

Push in one or two metal foam board hangers into the board. Hold down the bottom of the hanger and pull up the top of it slightly where the nail will go.

Peel off the adhesive release paper on one or two of the plastic models. Press them until they stick to the board.

Hammer one or two nails into the wall and hang the foam board from these with the hangers.
String

Measure a piece of string along the back of the foam board. Keep the string a bit loose so you can attach it to a nail, like when you hang a painting or picture frame.

Cut the string and glue both ends to the foam board. Give it a bit of give. Let the glue dry.

Hammer a nail into the wall where you would like to hang the foam board. Leave a little bit of the nail out of the wall so the string can hang on it easily.

Hang the board onto the nail with the string.
