How to Entertain Guests at Housewarming Gatherings
Entertain guests at a housewarming like you would at any house gathering, but with one additional step. Show them your new home, then let them mingle. Provide several different areas for entertainment and conversation to flourish. Allow the guest to meet others he may not know, or introduce the shy person to one who shares her interests. Record several comics, or buy their DVDs. Entertain guests, despite arrival time, as you show these on the television non-stop during the housewarming.

Put the live sports game on the television. Ensure adequate seating. Place snacks for the guests to munch on.

Set up an activity zone for the kids. Let them swim in the pool, jump on the trampoline, shoot hoops or play soccer outside. Designate an area for board games, and place a sign-up time sheet for video games to allow all kids time to play.
