Instructions

    • 1

Pin two pieces of fabric together with the right sides facing each other. The fabric you choose should ideally be sturdy home decor fabric, but any washable material will do.

    • 2

Measure the foam pads you will use for your chairs, and add half the height to the length and width measurements. Now add one more inch to each measurement, and cut your fabric pieces from step one to match these measurements.

    • 3

Keep the fabric pieces pinned together with right sides facing. Sew a straight seam along three of the four sides of the fabric pieces, positioning the seams half an inch in from the cut edges.

    • 4

Turn the fabric pieces right side out to form a pocket shape. Slide the foam inside the pockets, and fold the cut edges in toward the inside of the pocket by half an inch each. Pin them together to close the pocket.

    • 5

Sew a straight seam along the pinned edge of the pocket, and remove the pins as you go. Put the chair pad onto your chair, and enjoy your new comfortable seat.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you can't sew, you can use fabric glue to make these chair pads; just substitute the glue for the sewing steps.
