Regular vehicle maintenance helps keep your car functioning smoothly. Locating a GM service center to get an oil change or routine vehicle service does not have to be an overwhelming experience. Fortunately, resources are available to aid your search.

      Log on to GM's Web site. Use the dealer locator feature to find GM service centers. Click the drop-down menu and select the brand of your vehicle. Input your five-digit zip code, city and state or dealer name to find dealers or service centers within ten to 100 miles of your home. Click the blue "Locate" button. View each GM service center or dealer's Web page, along with maps and directions to each location.

      Visit Edmunds' automobile Web page. Click "Local Services" and select "Repair Shops" or "Car Dealers" (most dealers have service centers on site) using the drop-down menu. Input your five-digit zip code or city and state. Click "Search."

      Look inside your vehicle or visit the GM Web site to determine if you have OnStar's Turn-by-Turn navigation system access. Push the blue "OnStar" button and request a list of GM service centers near your area. Listen and follow the automated voice directions to your destination.

  • Turn-by-turn navigation requires a monthly or yearly subscription fee or upgrade service.

  • OnStar subscriptions are included in the costs of new GM vehicles.
