How to Get Sap Off a Windshield

How to Get Sap Off a Windshield thumbnail
Sap is a sticky liquid that comes from some trees.

Tree sap can drip from branches and land on a car windshield. The sap sticks to the glass and can impair driver visibility. Sap will harden if left unattended. It's actually easier to remove the sap once it's hard rather than sticky and wet. The wet sap sticks to rags. A hard chunk of sap breaks off with the aid of WD-40. Do not use the windshield wipers if you have sap on your windshield. It will stick to the blades.

Pour 2 to 3 drops of dish soap into a bowl. Add water until the bowl is half full.

    • 4

Dip the rag into the soapy water. Wash off the surface of the windshield where the sap was with the wet rag.
