Some errors on your Acer 3680 notebook are due to problems with an outdated basic input output system, or BIOS. The BIOS is a small but powerful software application stored on a chip on your Acer's motherboard. The BIOS controls many of the communications between your hardware and your operating system. Acer provides free BIOS updates when necessary for the Acer 3680, along with a utility to make the flash, or update, process easier for users of all skill levels.
