Things You'll Need
- Measuring tape
- Screws
- Drilling machine
- Long screws/deck screws/security screws
- Security bars

Take measurements of your entire aluminum window with some allowance for the security bars placement in plaster or brick as the aluminum windows do not have a frame to allow for a bar fitting.

Visit the nearest store for customized security bars. The security bars should be the right length and width in order to fit between the screen and the window.

Mark the places where you are going to drill holes in order to insert the bars for securing your aluminum windows.

Drill holes in the top sash of your aluminum window and align the bars with your aluminum window.

Ensure that your security bars are well aligned and then drill the long screws all the way into the frame. Check to make sure the security bars are securely attached before moving on to the next window.

Repeat the process for all the aluminum windows you have in the house for security.
