How to Untangle a Telephone Cord

Untangle your phone cord for easier use.

Corded telephones aren't commonly used in households anymore as of 2010, but they are still frequently used in businesses. One major advantage they have is that you don't lose the headsets. One major disadvantage is that the cord gets tangled over time, especially if multiple people use the same phone.

Instructions

1. Unplug your phone's power source.

2. Unplug the section of the phone cord that connects to the phone's base.

3. Untie any knots, working from the end of the cord that's been unplugged.

4. Hold the handset at about shoulder level and let the cord drop. Give it a second to untwist itself.

5. Plug the phone cord back into the phone's base and plug your power source back in.
