How to Save a Voicemail to an SD Card in the LG EnV & Transfer to a Computer

Save

Voicemail is a key feature of any cell phone, yet most phones lack the ability to download a message from the service provider's servers. Messages left to your LG EnV phone can be saved to the Verizon server by pressing "9." No quick methods exist to save them as a data file, but a circuitous method exists to save e-mails on your phone and transfer them to your computer.

Things You'll Need

  • microSD-to-SD card adapter
  • Insert a microSD card into your LG EnV. Flip the phone oen and press the "Speakerphone" button on the lower left corner of the keypad.

  • Press and hold "1" to access your voicemail. Press "1" again to listen to your messages.

  • Press the right "Soft" key to access "Options," then select "Menu." Press "OK," "1," "5," then "1" to record a new sound. Press "End" when the voicemail is finished. The sound is recorded to your SD card as a .wav file.

  • Eject the microSD card and place it into the SD card adapter. Insert it into your computer's SD card reader.

  • Click the Windows "Start" button, then click "Computer." Double-click your card under "Devices With Removable Storage," then double-click the "My Sounds" folder. Find your saved voicemail. Click on it, then drag and drop it to your desktop or to your folder of choice in the left sidebar.
