Read through the Owner's Manual thoroughly before using your GPS device. Practice using the simulator mode to familiarize yourself with the procedure.
You can check for discrepancies in your Garmin device's measurements by comparing the information it gives you to other navigational aids in your aircraft.
The vertical measurements shown by your GPS device may significantly vary from the altitude shown on pressure altimeters in your aircraft. Do not use GPS altitude for vertical navigation.
