How to Fix a Scratch in Bamboo Laminate Flooring
Designed to have the appearance of natural bamboo, bamboo laminate flooring is often used instead of real bamboo because it is less susceptible to damage, more affordable and easier to clean. Even though bamboo laminate flooring is durable, scratches can occur when items with sharp footings or corners are slid across or dropped on the floor. Repair blemishes to restore the appearance of your floor. For minor blemishes, use a laminate floor repair stick. For deeper scratches, use laminate repair filler. Things You'll Need
- Broom
- Laminate floor cleaner
- Towel
- Laminate floor repair stick
- Plastic filler
- Micro spatula
- 800-grit sandpaper
- Laminate floor polish
- Soft, lint-free cloth

Sweep the floor to remove loose dirt, and wash the floor with laminate floor cleaner to eliminate any grime.

Dry the floor with a towel.

Fix minor blemishes by rubbing the end of the repair stick over the scratches, allowing the material to fill the scratch. For deeper scratches, smear the filler into the scratch with a micro spatula.

Leave the filler to dry for the time indicated in the manufacturer's instructions.

Sand and smooth down the dried plastic filler with 800-grit sandpaper.

Burnish the area with laminate floor polish, using a soft, lint-free cloth. Work in rapid, circular motions and apply moderate to heavy pressure. Burnishing will smooth and restore luster to the surface of the floor.
