How to Make a Bootable DiskWarrior Disk

DiskWarrior is an advanced disk repair utility from Alsoft for Mac OS X. The utility allows you to recover your files from a damaged drive and repairs un-repairable errors found in Disk Utility. When you purchase DiskWarrior, you are mailed a bootable DVD as well as given an immediate download. If you cannot wait for the DVD to arrive in the mail, you can create a bootable disk from the downloaded disk image for immediate use.

Download the zip file sent to you from DiskWarrior, if you have not already. Double-click the zip file to extract the DiskWarrior disk image.

Insert a USB flash drive. Open “Disk Utility.” Select the USB flash drive and click the “Partition” tab.

Click the “Restore” tab. Drag the DiskWarrior disk image to “Source” and drag the USB flash drive to “Destination.” Click “Restore” to copy the disk image to the disk. When finished, you can boot from the disk by holding down the “Option” key during boot-up.
