How to Build an HP Computer

You can build an HP computer that meets your exact specifications.

HP or Hewlett Packard makes computers that come in various styles and forms. While you do have the option to purchase your desktop or laptop HP machine from a computer store, this limits you to the models that the store where you shop has available. However, if you learn how to build your own computer from scratch, you can build the type of machine that you desire with ease.

Instructions

1. Go to the Hewlett Packard Web page. The HP website lets you create the type of computer that you want via an Internet-based system.

2. Click the link on the upper left-hand portion of the page to select the type of computer that want. For instance, if you want to build a laptop, click the link that starts with the word "Laptop." Choose the HP model that you desire and then "Customize & Buy."

3. Add the features that you want to your computer. For instance, you have the ability to select the latest version of the Windows operating system and the size of disk drive that you prefer. You can even add additional features such as an HDTV tuner to your machine.

4. Click on the "Review and Buy" button and "Add to Cart." Adhere to the directions on your screen to finalize the process.
