How to Repair a Gucci Lens
Scratches frequently occur on any glasses, including the trendiest from Gucci's latest selection. There are a number of ways that your glasses can become scratched, including dropping them on the ground or sliding them across a rough surface. We all know that accidents can happen, but a few small scratches doesn't mean that you have to replace them all together, which can be very costly, especially if the glasses are from Gucci. Instead, you can fix the scratches in the comfort of your own home with a just a few basic tools. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Toothpaste
- Cotton swab
- Q-tip
- Non-abrasive towel
- Formulated towelette
- Armour Etch

Squeeze a small amount of toothpaste onto the scratch.

Use a cotton swab or a q-tip and evenly distribute the toothpaste onto the scratch. Allow the toothpaste to sit on the scratch for a few minutes. The toothpaste will fill in the gap caused by the scratch.

Rinse the lens under warm water. Rinse the lens until all the toothpaste comes off. Blot moisture off with a non-abrasive towel or a towelette that is specifically designed for glasses.

Drop a small amount of Armour Etch onto a cotton ball or q-tip. Armour Etch is a compound formulated to remove scratches on glass.

Evenly distribute the Armour Etch onto the scratch with a q-tip. Allow the compound to sit on the scratch for about 5 minutes.

Rinse the lens under warm water. Blot moisture off with a non-abrasive towel.

Tips & Warnings
Armour Etch will be readily available at your home improvement facility or hardware store.
Do not use a gel-based toothpaste or a toothpaste that contains any kind of whitening chemicals. These chemicals can be abrasive to the lens finish, potentially damaging the lens.
