How to Plow With a Tundra

Plowing snow with a Tundra rather than shoveling by hand can make life a lot easier for those with large spaces that require snow removal. Plowing with your Tundra is also more effective in the removal of particularly deep snow than shoveling or using a snow blower. With good planning and an appropriate snowplow blade, plowing with a Tundra is an efficient way to remove unwanted snow or other debris.

Things You'll Need

• Toyota Tundra
• Snowplow blade

Instructions

1. Attach a snowplow blade to the front of the truck. Be sure to use a blade that is appropriate for the size and design of your Tundra and attach it according to the manufacturer's instructions.

2. Lower the snow plow blade so that it is flush with the ground but not resting on the ground.

3. Drive your truck forward, pushing the snow in front of you with the blade. Go slowly to avoid causing damage to your Tundra should the snowplow blade stick for any reason.

Tips & Warnings

• Angle the snowplow blade so as to push snow to the side rather than straight ahead.

• If your Tundra has four-wheel drive, use it.

• If your Tundra does not have four-wheel drive, place about 200 pounds of sand bags in the bed of the truck to prevent fishtailing.
