How to Recycle Coke Cans
Aluminum is the most abundant metal on the Earth; however, a standard aluminum Coke can is the most valuable beverage container there is. Aluminum can be recycled multiple times and not lose its quality or durability, meaning less natural resources are being used. With each empty Coke can being worth about 1 cent, the aluminum industry has paid out more than $800 million for empty Coke cans. Many recycling centers donate money to Habitat for Humanity, a local school, or Boy and Girl Scouts of America.

1
Wash out your empty Coke cans. Washing out your Coke cans means less mess and will remove the sugar from the cans, which can attract unwanted pests.
-
2
Crush your cans to allow more cans to fit into the storage container.
-
-
3
Place cans in a garbage bag or garbage can; this will allow for easy travel. If possible have a larger garbage can to place full bags into.
-
4
Take cans to a local recycling center. Recycling centers can be found in most towns. If you have trouble finding one, talk to your city hall and they will direct you to the nearest one.
-
5
Turn the cans in and receive your payment. Payments may vary according to the number of cans you have accumulated and the current price of cans.
