How to Activate a New Go Phone

AT&T Go Phones give you the convenience of a cell phone without a contract.

AT&T's Go Phone is a prepaid, pay-as-you-go cell phone that allows users to benefit from the convenience of a cell phone without the necessity of a contract or credit check. When you buy a Go Phone, you must activate it before you can use it. Activation of your Go Phone requires all of the original packaging from your purchase, including the manual, SIM card and the box.

Instructions

Preparing your Phone

1. Install your SIM card in the Go Phone. Line up the metal conductors in the back of the Go phone with the shiny, metal strips on the SIM card.

2. Install the battery on the back of the phone and replace the cover.

3. Charge your phone completely.

Activation

1. Visit the AT&T Go Phone activation website.

2. Select the "Pay As You Go" option on the website.

3. Input your ICCID number, IMEI number and PIN into the appropriate fields. The ICCID number can be found on the back of your SIM card. The IMEI number is located on the bottom of the original Go Phone box. Your PIN is located on the front of your Go Phone manual.
