      Or, contact the government agency (e.g. Department of Health & Human Services) in which you wish to apply.

      Or, Contact a One Stop Career Center in Florida at http://www.employflorida.com or by selecting the center in your neighborhood in your local telephone book.

    Prepare to Apply

      Research the job requirements for the position in which you are interested.

      Enroll in a local course or workshop on any software you may not understand, if needed to perform job responsibilities. Check a local library or nonprofit career center for courses available if affordability is a concern.

      Customize your resume -- and any other supporting documents you will submit to the State of Florida -- to highlight relevant accomplishments and education. List any courses you are currently enrolled in.

      Prepare a list of all past employers, if you do not yet have them listed. List them in order by date employed. This list should answer all questions asked in the "Periods of Employment" section of the State of Florida application.
