"Dragon Age: Origins" features rich, compelling game play with realistic characters and myriad spells, armor and weaponry. The game allows customization through Add-ons, which are easily downloaded from various sites. When moving from one computer to another, you only need to move one folder to have all your settings, saved games and characters transfer to the new computer.
Things You'll Need
- USB thumb drive or CD
Press the Windows key and "E" simultaneously to open Windows Explorer. Go to C:/Users/USERNAME/My Documents/Bioware where "USERNAME" is replaced with your actual login username.
Insert a USB thumb drive into an available USB port and copy the folder "Dragon Age" onto the thumb drive. Optionally, you can burn the entire folder to a CD. The goal is to make it mobile.
Install "Dragon Age: Origins" on your new computer using your "Dragon Age: Origins" installation disc. Once you insert the disc, the computer will automatically recognize it and start the installation procedure. Choose "Install" and follow the onscreen instructions.
Insert the USB thumb drive into an available USB port on the new computer. Open Windows Explorer and click the letter corresponding to your thumb drive.
Copy the "Dragon Age: Origins" folder from the thumb drive to C:/Users/USERNAME/My Documents/Bioware/ on the new computer. You may be asked to confirm overwriting existing data. Assuming you do not need that data, or have already backed it up, click "Yes" to overwrite. Your old setting should now be available on the new computer.
