How to Gargle With an Antiseptic
Antiseptics prevent infections and slow or stop the growth of germs. You can gargle an antiseptic to kill bacteria in your mouth. Hydrogen peroxide has been used as an antimicrobial agent for decades and is commonly found in toothpastes. You can use hydrogen peroxide as an antiseptic gargle to kill germs, to treat bad breathe and as a teeth whitener. It is easy to create your own antiseptic gargle using hydrogen peroxide and it is very cost effective.

Preparing and Gargling a Hydrogen Peroxide Antiseptic

Prepare 4 ounces of lukewarm water in an 8 ounce cup. Add an equal amount of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide to the cup so you have a 50/50 split of equal parts hydrogen peroxide and water. Stir well.

Gargle a mouthful of hydrogen peroxide mouthwash for 30 seconds and spit it out. Rinse your mouth with water.

Pour the remaining mouthwash into an opaque or brown bottle and close the lid tightly. Place the mouthwash in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Tips & Warnings
You can use 1 percent hydrogen peroxide.
Hydrogen peroxide will cause foam when gargling.
Do not swallow the mouthwash.
Use only twice a day as part of a healthy oral regimen.
Store the mouthwash away from the sun or flammable objects.
Keep away from small children.
