      Remove the rubber cover on the joint of the lever by simply pulling it back. The cover will fold over itself.

      Place a 12-mm socket wrench on the joint bolt on top of the lever assembly.

      Place a 12-mm open-end wrench on the nut beneath the lever assembly. Twist the wrench counterclockwise to remove the nut.

      Pull the bolt through the assembly and remove it.

      Slide the clutch lever out of the joint assembly.

      Remove the clutch cable from the lever by pulling its end knob out of the mounting hole in the lever.
