How to Retrieve a Registry at Bed, Bath & Beyond

Wedding registries are an easy way for a bride and groom to offer suggestions to those searching for gifts that will help them get off to a fresh start as a new couple. Many major retailers, including Bed, Bath & Beyond, help couples set up a registry with a wish list of in-store items and items that can be bought online. Wedding guests can retrieve these registries and purchase items on that list in one of two ways: by using the Internet or by visiting a store.

Instructions

  1. Using the Internet

    • 1

Log on to Bed, Bath & Beyond's website (see Resources).

    • 2

Near the top of the page, click the tab titled "Bridal & Gift Registry."

    • 3

Type in the name of the bride or groom in the boxes labeled "first name" and "last name" under the section titled "Find a Registry." Click the "Go" button.

    • 4

Browse through the list of results. Occasionally, multiple results will pop up if the bride or groom share names with anyone else who has registered with the store. Each result is accompanied by a state and wedding date to help identify the correct registry.

    • 5

Click on the appropriate name to view the registry. From there, you can view its contents and even purchase items online to be shipped to the couple.

    In Person

    • 6

Visit the nearest Bed, Bath & Beyond store. If unsure of its location, search for the store in the phone book or the "Store Locator" tab at the top of the company's website (see Resources).

    • 7

Enter the store and search for the registry kiosk. This is an automated machine that will retrieve registry information using a touch screen. If you cannot find the kiosk, ask a store associate for help.

    • 8

Using the kiosk's touch screen, input the bride's or groom's first and last names into the appropriate boxes. Touch the "Search" button.

    • 9

Scan the list of results and look for the appropriate registry. Registry results will be listed by state and wedding date.

    • 10

Touch the correct result to view the registry. From here, you can print a list of items on the registry or view the items on the screen.

Tips & Warnings

  • If unsure of the correct registry entry even with the state and wedding date information, call the bride or groom or a member of the wedding party to ask for the registry number. This number will be listed along with the other information next to each result and can provide definitive proof that a result is correct.

  • Be careful to select the correct registry, especially if the bride and groom have popular names. Selecting the wrong registry can result in buying the wrong gift or sending a gift to a stranger.
