Instructions

    • 1

Draw the shape of a dinosaur, excluding the tail, on a large white poster board with a pencil so you can easily erase mistakes. If you need help with the shape, visit Ed Helper (see the Resources).

    • 2

Draw accents on the dinosaur, such as scales and facial features, with the pencil.

    • 3

Color the dinosaur's body with a green marker.

    • 4

Outline the accents, and fill them in with the coordinating magic marker color, such as red for lips or blue for eyes.

    • 5

Outline the dinosaur with a black marker to emphasize the shape.

    • 6

Cut out shapes of dinosaur's tail from green felt. Make sure there is one tail for each party guest.

    • 7

Write the name of each guest on the dinosaur tails with a fabric pen.

    • 8

Attach a small square of double-sided foam tape to the end of each tail.

    • 9

Hang the dinosaur body on a wall with the tacks before the party begins.

Tips & Warnings

  • To play Pin the Tail on the Dinosaur, set each player 5 ft. from the wall, and blindfold each player. Each player must walk to the wall and try to correctly place the felt tail in the location where the dinosaur's tail should be. The player that comes the closest wins.

  • Remove obstructions from the play area to ensure players will not trip or be injured.
