How To Copy a Vip722 DVR to a Computer

A Dish Network ViP722 DVR (digital video recorder) stores content on a hard disc drive much in the same way a computer does. To copy content from the ViP722 to a computer, you must use a digital video conversion box. The device, which is available from retail computer and electronic stores, will convert the video and audio from the ViP's outputs into a format that the computer's operating system can understand and save on its hard drive. No additional software is needed.

Things You'll Need
