How to Change a 2008 Honda Accord Cabin Filter

Every 2008 model year Honda Accord is built with a replaceable cabin filter that cleans the air in the passenger compartment. The filter traps dust, pollen and allergens from coming in from the outside air into the passenger compartment. According to the maintenance schedule, this filter should be replaced every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. A clean cabin air filter improves the air flow in the ventilation system and is more effective at cleaning the interior air.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the glove compartment. Remove all items from the compartment.

    • 2

Disconnect the stop bar on the right side of the outside of the glove compartment.

    • 3

Press in on the top of the glove compartment on the right and left sides. Move the glove compartment down toward the floor of the Accord.

    • 8

Lift the glove compartment up until it hooks back into the dash. Connect the stop bar onto the hook on the right side.
