How to Remove a DSLR Lens
The proliferation of consumer-grade digital single lens reflex cameras has enabled amateur photographers to capture better-quality images. One of the many advantages of these cameras is the ability to use different lenses to obtain different focal lengths and light sensitivities, both of which allow greater control and creativity of one's photography. Removing a DSLR lens is a fairly simple procedure.

Tips & Warnings
If you are going to store your DSLR for long periods of time, it is best to remove the lens and replace the caps that protect both the lens and the camera body. This will prevent dust and debris from entering the lens or camera, as well as ensure no stress damages the connection between them.
You should replace the lens onto the camera quickly. If left open for even a short while, dust can enter the camera body. At best, this will leave marks on the images you take. At worst, this can damage your camera's sensor.
