How to Create a Startup Disc for Microsoft Vista
A Windows Vista startup disc can be used to fix the Windows Vista operating system. A startup disc is sometimes referred to as a recovery disc or a boot disc.
If your computer's hard drive gets damaged, you will not be able to access your system's recovery menu without a startup disc. If your computer did not come with a startup disc, you can create a Windows Vista startup disc with System Restore, Complete PC Backup, automated system repair and manual advanced recovery options.
