How to Hang Craft Shelves
Craft shelves provide a simple storage solution for ever-increasing craft supplies. Hanging your own craft shelves preserves valuable floor space that a free-standing shelf would occupy, and it conveniently puts your supplies at eye level. You don't need extensive carpentry skills to hang your own craft shelves. If possible, ask a friend or family member to lend a hand to support the shelf as you ensure that it will be level. Decide where you want to hang your shelf or shelves, then turn your stud finder on and run it along the wall until it beeps to indicate a stud. Mark the stud location in pencil, with an X. Move the stud finder horizontally along the wall until you find parallel studs. If your craft shelves are more than 2 feet long, use three studs for extra support if possible.

2
Place the tape measure on the wall marking where your stud is indicated. Stretch the tape measure across to corresponding stud markings and trace the pencil line on the wall. Hold the level up to the pencil line. If the bubble inside of the level does not rest between the two center lines, adjust the height of one of the sides until the level is even.
