How to Get Dinosaur Digs for "Zoo Tycoon"
"Zoo Tycoon: Dinosaur Digs," an expansion pack for the PC game "Zoo Tycoon," allows players to raise a virtual zoo, complete with prehistoric pets. "Dinosaur Digs" adds more than 20 new animals to the "Zoo Tycoon" game, including the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the Velociraptor and the Sabre-tooth tiger. "Dinosaur Digs" is not available as a download, and must be purchased as a CD ROM as of October 2010.

Check your computer specifications to verify that it meets the system requirements for "Dinosaur Digs." System requirements are installed Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000/XP operating system, a 233 MHz or higher computer processor, 64 (Windows 98/Me/2000) or 128 MB RAM (Windows XP) 4x or higher speed CD ROM drive and video display with minimum 800 by 600 resolution.

Go to a website to purchase "Dinosaur Digs" or obtain a copy of "Dinosaur Digs" at a retail location. Microsoft recommends three different sources to buy the game, all of which are provided on the Microsoft website,

Place the "Dinosaur Digs" disc in your computer disc. Wait for the disc to load. Click "Install" when you receive a prompt asking if you wish to install "Dinosaur Digs."

Read the installation agreement for "Dinosaur Digs." Choose "Accept" to begin game installation.

Click to place a check next to the type of installation that you wish to perform when prompted to do so. You can perform a CD-only installation, which will allow you to play "Dinosaur Digs" only when the game is inserted in your computer disc drive, or do a complete installation, which will install the game to your computer's hard drive.

Wait for "Dinosaur Digs" to install. Installation time will vary depending on computer, type of installation and Internet connection.
