How to Make Your Own Barney Birthday Card
Be creative when making your own Barney birthday card. Choose from different designs that are simple enough for you to make with your child for a special Barney-themed birthday party she may be attending. Consider making a pop up Barney card. Use online Barney websites to find images of Barney for making cards, or Barney coloring pages to include with your card, or to use as part of a goody bag. Have your child color the pages to add a personal touch to the card.

1
Take one piece of card stock. Fold it in half to card size.
-
2
Hold the folded card stock lengthwise with folded side across the bottom. Measure 2 1/2-inches with a ruler from the left side of the card and cut a 1 inch slit through the fold and the two layers of card stock. Measure 2 1/2-inches from the right side and cut a 1 inch slit through the fold and two layers to form a tab.

-
3
Open the card and push the tab inward towards the opening of the card. Close the card so that the tab bends inside the card.
-
4
Cut out a Barney picture to put inside the card. It should measure no more than 3-by-3 inches, but it doesn't have to be perfectly square. Be creative by cutting the picture out around the outline of Barney's shape. Glue the picture onto the tab inside the card.
-
5
Open and close the card to check whether it is pops up when you open the card.
-
6
Take the second piece of card stock and fold in half. Glue the cover onto the original card so it will cover the tab.
-
7
Glue the purple wrapping paper onto the cover, and attach Barney pictures to it. Or, color the card purple with your child and glue many different pictures of Barney on the front and back of the cover. Draw pictures of Barney or print some off from the Internet.
-
8
Write greetings, a poem or notes of sentiment on the front cover and inside the card.
