Go to the NAVTEQ website and click "Store," found at the top of the page. Use the menus located on the left side of the page to choose "Built-in, Factory Installed" and "Acura." Click on the link shown under the heading "Get the latest version of your NAVTEQ map."

Use the drop-down menus to choose "TL," then select your vehicle's year. The newest map update is shown. Click "Add to Cart," and "Checkout." Once the order is complete, the update is mailed to you on DVD.

Turn on the Acura TL and the navigation system. Insert the update DVD into the disc drive. When the update screen appears, enter the authentication code printed on the DVD case. The update process begins, and may take up to two hours to complete. When the process is finished, eject the disc from the drive.

Do not remove the disc or turn off the vehicle while the update is in process. This may damage the GPS.
