It is possible to hook up A/V receivers to your high-definition television.

An audio/video receiver (AV) is a device that accepts audio and video signals, allowing you to send the information to outside devices, such as a television system. This is helpful if you do not have enough connection ports on the high-definition television. Setting up this configuration only takes a few moments to complete, giving you more time to enjoy your audio/video equipment.
