How to Apply Crossbow Herbicide
Crossbow is a post-emergent herbicide manufactured by Dow Agrosciences that is applied to weeds, woody shrubs and vines, such as poison oak, during the growing season. According to the manufacture's website, the active ingredients are triclopyr and 2,4-D ester, which kill undesirable plants but do not harm desirable lawn grasses and turf. Crossbow is only approved for small application areas and should not be applied over large areas, such as crops or fields for foraging animals. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
Shake the garden sprayer frequently during application, since the herbicide separates easily from the water.
If you are trying to kill chicory, bindweed, dogfennel, horsenettle, goldenrod, milkweed, kudzu, leafy spruge, perennial sowthistle or Canadian thistle, a second application of herbicide will typically be required.
Do not apply Crossbow if rain is expected within two hours of application.
Do not apply Crossbow to newly seeded or newly sodded grasses until the grasses are well established.
