How to Set the Time on a Rolex Yacht-Master Steel Blue

The Rolex Yacht-Master steel blue analog watch is designed for wearing while you cut through the ocean on a yacht. Its waterproof movement is protected from water and dust with a triple-seal system. Aside from keeping time, the self-winding watch features a chronograph that you can synchronize to yacht racing start times. Its minutes countdown hand shows minutes remaining on a 10-minute countdown, and the seconds countdown hand shows the seconds remaining on a 60-second dial. Despite its advanced features, you can easily set the time on a steel blue Rolex Yacht-Master.

Instructions

1. Unscrew the winding crown, a small knob located on the middle right side of the watch.

2. Pull out the winding crown one click. The second hand will stop moving. Pulling it out two clicks allows you to manually wind the watch. Under daily use, your regular motions allow the watch to wind itself with its perpetual movement.

3. Turn the winding crown clockwise to advance the minute and hour hands. As you turn it, the minute hand moves, and each time the minute hand completes 60 minutes, the hour hand advances one hour. You can also turn the winding crown counterclockwise to reverse the time. Stop turning the crown when you reach the correct time.

4. Push the winding crown down flush with the watch, and screw it down securely to ensure that the movement is protected against dust and water. The watch is now set, and the second hand resumes motion.
