How to Take Screenshots in PowerDVD

Save

PowerDVD is a commercial media player that can play virtually all video formats. One feature of PowerDVD is the ability to take screenshots of your videos. This can be used to provide images for video reviews and to create a variety of unique graphics and wallpapers.

  • Open PowerDVD and click the "Play" button to start your video.

  • Press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys simultaneously on your keyboard. This will open the "Configuration" window.

  • Click the "Player" tab and then click the "Advanced" button at the bottom.

  • Click the "Capture" tab and then click "Capture as File." Click in the drop-down menu and select an image format you would like to use. If you are not sure what format to choose, the "JPG" option is a good all-around format. Click the "Browse" button and choose a location to save your screenshots. Click the "OK" button when finished to close the "Advanced Options" window and save your settings.

  • Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the "Configuration" window. This will bring you back to the video that is playing in PowerDVD. Pause the video, and then press "C" on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can click the "Capture" button on the "More Functions" menu.
