How to View Two Spreadsheets on Two Different Displays

Save

If you have multiple computer monitors installed on your desktop or laptop computer setup, you can view different sets of windows on each monitor simultaneously. If you have two different spreadsheets on your computer that you need to have open simultaneously, for example, this can allow both spreadsheets to be displayed on its own monitor, saving the need to constantly minimize and maximize each window as you continue to work.

  • Double-click the icon for your first spreadsheet. This will open the file up in the default spreadsheet viewing program for your computer. Click the "Minimize" button to minimize this window to your task bar.

  • Double-click the icon for your second spreadsheet. This will open the file up in the default spreadsheet viewing program for your computer. Click the "Minimize" button to minimize this window to your task bar.

  • Right-click on the icon for your second spreadsheet on your task bar. Click "Send To" and then "Monitor 2." This will move the second spreadsheet over to your second computer monitor.

  • Click on the icon for your first spreadsheet. This will maximize the window on your first computer monitor. Both spreadsheets will now be maximized and simultaneously viewable on your two computer monitors.
