How to Hide My IP Address From Showing Up While Visiting Someone's Blog

Your computer has a unique number. This number is the IP address. Every site and computer on the Internet has one. When you visit any blog site, that site's Web server knows your IP. The server can even store it in a database and save it for future use. To mask your surfing activity, use a proxy server that will hide your IP when you wish to visit someone's blog anonymously.

Use Proxify

  • Visit the Proxify website. (See Resources)

  • Type the URL of a blog site in the "Proxify" text box.

  • Click "Proxify." The site will transfer you to the blog site and hide your IP.

Use Online Anonymous Proxy

  • Visit the Proxify website. (See Resources)

  • Type the URL of a blog site in the "Enter URL" text box.

  • Click "Options." The site will display a list of options such as "Remove Scripts" and "Allow Cookies." Put a check mark by options that you want to use when you visit the site. If you select "Remove Scripts," for example, no scripts will execute when you visit the blog site.

  • Click "Go." The site will transfer you to the blog site and hide your IP.

Use Sambaweb.info

Tips & Warnings

  • Surfing using a proxy will be slower because your communications must flow through the proxy server before reaching the destination website.
