How to Put a DVD on Your Philips GoGear

The GoGear MP3 Video player is a portable media device by Philips. It has 4 GB of memory and a 1.5-inch color display screen. If you want to watch DVDs on your Philips player you must rip them to your computer in a video file format first. You can then use the native software, Windows Media Player, to reformat the file and transfer it to the device.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and install Format Factory, AoA DVD Ripper, or Easy DVD Rip (see Resources). Insert the DVD you want to rip in your DVD drive. Select the DVD in the program and click the rip button to copy it to your computer.

    • 2

Connect your computer to the GoGear with the USB cord for the player.

    • 3

Select the "Windows Media Player" option when it appears on your screen.

    • 4

Click and drag the ripped DVD movie to the "Sync List" in the "Sync" tab in Windows Media Player.

    • 5

Click the "Start Sync" button in the Sync list box to download the movie to your player.
