How to Repair Innotek Collars


Adjusting an Innotek No-Bark collar for fit, checking the battery and probes ensures that the collars provides stimulation to teach your dog not to bark.

Collar Probes

For an Innotek No-Bark collar to work properly both probes need to be the same length. Both short and long probes are included in the purchase. The long probes work better to come in contact with a dog's neck when he has long or thick hair.

The area where the probes touch your dog's neck and the probes should be cleaned once a week with mild hand soap on a washcloth. Clean probes are needed for the collar to provide stimulation.

Collar Battery

The battery in the collar has a red light that shows the collar's status. A solid red light illuminates when the collar is delivering stimulation. The red light pulsates after delivering stimulation while it is resetting. If the light is blinking once every 5 seconds, the battery is low and needs to be replaced.

Replace the battery in the collar with the positive side facing upward for proper function. Battery life is between two and six months, depending on how often stimulation is in use.

The BC-200 Automatic No-Bark collar contains a rechargeable battery. The red light on the collar blinks every 5 seconds when it needs recharging.

Receiver Collar

To ensure your collar is working on your dog it must be adjusted for the correct fit. Position the collar on your dog so that the probes are 1 inch above or below his Adam's apple. Tighten or loosen the length of the collar so you can slide one finger under the rear of the collar on top of his neck. If your dog has very long or thick hair, you may need to trim his hair shorter on his neck so the probes make contact with his skin.

Remove any additional collars or dog tags from your pet when using an Innotek No-Bark collar. Other metal items interfere with the collar's operation.

Test the collar by removing it from your canine companion. Rub the probes gently on a hard nonglass surface. If the collar is functioning correctly, a solid red light will light up, just as it does when it signals that it is providing stimulation to your pet.
