How to Find Actual Government Grants

The federal government issues grants to charities, nonprofit organizations and small businesses that fulfill a need in a local community and impact the nation at large. These grants range in size from a few hundred dollars to thousands of dollars. Such grants also vary in type, from recurring grants for scientific development to one-time grants to help fund a green-energy project. Although government grants are available, locating them can be a challenge. Fortunately, the federal government developed Grants.gov, a complete online database of federal government grants.
