Disabling the eMachines logo at start-up allows you to see important system information before the Window's operating system loads. This optional eMachines manufacturer's logo displays a full-screen white eMachines logo across the screen during the boot-up sequence. Instead of this eMachines logo, after disabling, your boot screen will display your motherboard's system configuration. Information on RAM, CPU, hard drive, etc., will flash across the screen for a brief moment before your system loads Windows.
Restart or turn on your computer and press one of the "Function" keys (commonly the "F2" key) on the screen displaying the eMachines logo. The correct button to press will display at the bottom of the eMachines logo screen.
Press the up, down, left or right arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate to the "Boot" menu of the BIOS and then to the "Boot Settings Configuration" screen.
Press the "Enter" key at the Quiet Boot setting to choose "Disabled" instead of "Enabled."
Press the "F10" key to save the changes and restart the system.
Tips & Warnings
- Pressing the "Function" key one to two seconds before you reach the logo screen helps enter the BIOS, if the logo screen catches you off guard.
- Disabling or enabling certain BIOS settings may create system instability.
