Instructions

    • 1

Paint over the affected area using a lubricating amino acid based oil and wait while it penetrates, then remove the foam by scrubbing away at it using a cloth.

    • 2

Paint over the affected area using acetone (nail-polish remover). Be aware that acetone will dissolve the foam but will strip the paint along with it. Only use if you can easily replenish the damaged painted surface, but you should be aware that the Styrofoam glue may have already damaged the paint. This is a great option for those who don't have a lot of time.

    • 3

Cut away at the Styrofoam glue. Once you have cut away the bulk of the glue, sand down the rest until nothing remains. Be prepared that this approach will damage the paintwork surface of the affected area, so use with caution unless you intend on resurfacing or repainting the affected area.
