How to Uninstall Programs in Suse

SUSE Linux is a version of the Linux operating system released by Novell. SUSE supports a number of programs both commercial and open source. SUSE's Zypper application manages the installation and removal of these programs on your operating system. If you have access to the machine's root password, you can use Zypper to uninstall a program.

  • Open the SUSE menu by clicking the SUSE icon on the task bar.

  • Click "Konsole."

  • Type "sudo zypper remove <Program>" and press "Enter." Replace <Program> with the name of the software package you would like to remove.

  • Enter your root password when prompted. The program will now be removed.
