How to Browse the Network on Windows Mobile

Save

A wireless router installed on a PC for wireless Internet can also be connected to your Windows Mobile device. This connection lets you do much more than access the Web. You can share files and browse the shared contents of all the computers on the network. Windows Mobile has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with which you can set up network sharing.

  • Power on your Windows Mobile phone.

  • Navigate to "Start" and "Settings."

  • Select the "Connections" tab. Select "Advanced" on the new window that pops up.

  • Select the option "Select Networks." Choose the name of your computer's wireless network from the list. If it's a password-protected network, enter the password and select "OK." Your Windows Mobile device will then be connected to the PC's network and will be ready for network browsing.

  • Go to "Start" and "Shared Documents" for access to the files you want to view.
