How to Put an Infant Seat in a Graco Stroller

The Graco company has made infant seats, strollers and other baby related products for many years. A stroller is not often secure enough for a newborn infant; the solution is to place the car seat into the stroller so that the baby can be strapped in, giving you the convenience and the peace of mind to push them around. The installation of the infant seat into the stroller is not a difficult task and takes a minute or two to do.

  • Place the baby in the stroller facing toward the rear of the stroller. When you are pushing the stroller, you should be facing your infant.

  • Recline the stroller seat back as far as it will go. In some model strollers, this is done by pulling up on a bar located behind the stroller seat. In other models, look for a adjustment buttons on the sides of the stroller to release the back.

  • Look at the bottom of your infant seat. Under the area where the baby's head is located, the base of the seat will have a notched area. That notched out area needs to be placed so that it is gripping the edge of the tray on the stroller.

  • Push down on the infant seat once it is properly placed on the stroller. In many Graco models, you will hear a click once the infant seat is locked into place. Some models may not click. A simple shake to ensure that it is locked is necessary.

  • Buckle your child into the infant seat. Although the seat itself is secure, the baby still needs to be secured into the seat to avoid injury.
