If you need to cool down a single room in a building without central air conditioning, one option is to use a portable air conditioner. Frigidaire makes a portable air conditioner that has casters to enable you to move it from one room to another. It has a remote control for convenient operation. After you set up the air conditioner near a window or an opening to blow hot air outside, you might want to set the timer to have it go on and off at specific times.

  • Press the "On-Off" button to turn the air conditioner on.

  • Press the "Timer" button to go to "Delay Stop Setting." The "Timer Off" light will illuminate.

  • Press the "Up" or Down" arrow to change the delay stop timer at 30-minute increments up to 10 hours, then at one-hour increments up to 24 hours. Press the "Timer" button to confirm the delay stop setting. The display will switch to "Delay Start Setting." (If you don't want to delay the start, press the "Timer" button to exit.)

  • Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow to change the delay start timer at 30-minute increments up to 10 hours, then at one-hour increments up to 24 hours. Press the "Timer" button to confirm the delay start setting.

  • Press the "Up" or Down" arrow to change the delay stop timer to "0.0" if you want to cancel the timer setting.
