How to Sync All Calendars

Having a calendar on your computer helps you to keep track of important meetings, events and projects. It is a necessity whether you are a college student or a business professional. Sometimes you may not have the time to view or update your calendar on your computer. Instead, synchronize it to your cell phone or PDA for instant access anyway. Depending on the software you use, you may be able to update your calendar through your phone, especially if your phone supports the software.

Things You'll Need

  • Cell phone sync software
  • USB cable
  • Attach the smaller end of the USB cable into your cell phone's jack. Connect the larger end into your computer tower's USB port, located on the front or back.

  • Insert the sync software that came with your phone. Contact your cell phone provider if you do not have sync software. You could also download cell phone sync software such as Data Pilot, SyncCell and GooSync.

  • Wait for the sync program to load on your computer. Select "Options" or "Synchronize Options." A list of your computer's programs and files should appear.

  • Search for the calendars you want to sync to your cell phone. Select them by placing a check mark next to each one, or dragging them with your mouse to the synchronization panel. Press and hold "CTRL," "ALT" and "Delete" when selecting more than one calendar.

  • Click the "Sync" button. Wait for the synchronization to complete.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not disconnect the USB cable during the synchronization process. This could result in a loss or corruption of data.
