How to Distribute a Powerpoint to Cell Phones

You can distribute a PowerPoint presentation to cell phones by email. However, the recipient of the file will need to have a Windows Mobile Device with PowerPoint Mobile installed. When sending a PowerPoint presentation via an email message, you will need to include the PowerPoint file as an attachment. To do this you must have a completed PowerPoint presentation that is ready to send.

      Double-click the PowerPoint icon to open the program.

      Open the PowerPoint presentation that you want to send. Click the "File" drop-down and select "Save As..." Select your desktop for the location of the file. Enter a name in the text box and click the "Save" button.

      Double-click the icon for your email program. This may be Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird.

      Click the button in the toolbar at the top of the program for "Create Mail" or "Write."

      Click the button for "Attach File" or "Attach." Locate the PowerPoint presentation file that is on your desktop. Click the "Open" button to add the attachment to the email message.

      Type the email address for the recipient's phone into the "To:" field. Add a comma and type in another email address for a recipient's phone. Repeat this step for the number of recipients that need to receive the PowerPoint presentation.

      Click the "Send" button to send the PowerPoint presentation to the recipient's phone.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the recipient of the message does not have a Windows Mobile Device, with PowerPoint Mobile, he will not be able to view the presentation.
