How to Turn Off the White Background From AutoCAD

By default, the background of all of your designs in AutoDesk's AutoCAD software will be white. This is designed to allow you to clearly see exactly what you're working on within the program. However, should you so desire, you can change the white background to a variety of other colors by going into the settings of AutoCAD and making the appropriate adjustments based on your preferences.

Instructions

    • 1

Open AutoCAD using the "Start" menu (if you have not yet already done so).

    • 2

Click the "AutoCAD" symbol in the top of the program window. Select "Options."

    • 3

Click the "Display" tab in the "Options" window. From this tab, click "Colors."

    • 4

Click the drop-down menu next to "Drawing Window Colors" and click on the new color you want to use for your AutoCAD document background. Click "Apply" to change the background color in AutoCAD.
